After working for several years in advertising, Allie is pursuing her passion to help individuals, couples, and families transform their relationships. As a result of her first career in the corporate world, she brings many aspects of her business experience to her practice. She understands the stressors felt by most individuals trying to balance life's hectic pace and seeks to provide her clients with tools that empower them to overcome these challenges.
She approaches problems through a systemic lens and therefore seeks to help individuals in the context of their relationships, helping people to transform destructive interactional patterns and dynamics. Specifically, her method draws on research and evidence-based therapeutic models such as Family Systems, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
Allie aims to create an inclusive, supportive, and collaborative environment for her clients. Understanding that everyone who decides to come to therapy has a unique motivation for doing so, she focuses on discovering what will work best for you. She concentrates on solutions, not problems, on your strengths, not your weaknesses, and on the present, not the past to achieve your specific goals.
In addition to seeing clients at Modern Marriage and Family Therapy, she is also completing her clinical work at the Monte Nido Eating Disorder Center of Manhattan focusing on helping individuals and families cope with eating disorders.
Allie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Politics from Fairfield University and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Fairfield University. She is also a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
